Formally 'The Crossrail Action
Group'
In July 2004, the Crossrail Action Group (C.A.G.) was formed in response to proposals by Crossrail to site a train maintenance depot and sidings in Romford.
In March 2007 the Crossrail Action Group (C.A.G.) won their fight and stopped Crossrail from blighting our community. We showed that residential power, and a lot of hard work, can get the right results.
Although Crossrail has now gone away, we, as a group, feel passionate about our area of Romford and, as such, have decided to remain formed in order to keep abreast of local issues and developments.
The area in which we live, and have been representing for the last three years, is known as Crowlands, an area in Brooklands Ward, Romford. Therefore, from now on, we shall be working as the:
Crowlands Action Group.
We hope that as fellow residents, you will help us in keeping our area a pleasant and safe place in which to work and live.
